30 Bathroom Vanity Trends

Fixing up a small master bathroom can really be a challenge. More often than not, the space is used by two people, and because it’s small you are always running out of places to put your personal belongings and it results in a clutter counter top or in trying to employ several different storage units, which in the end make the space feel even smaller.

Let’s try to consider a few ways that the space in a smaller master bathroom could be better utilized. We want to make it more comfortable for the people that use the space on a daily basis and we also want to reduce the clutter without making the space feel too tight and small.

Start with a new vanity. A common mistake is to try to employ a very small or even a pedestal sink style vanity. This is not the solution to your problem here. Depending on the size, look for something in the 30 inch bathroom vanity range. This size is going to be pretty accommodating for a standard sized small master bath. This size is also going to have something very key for this project, a good sized cabinet. A decent sized cabinet will come with built in, sometimes even adjustable shelving and sometimes drawers too. This will give both people that use the room private space to store their items in the way that they best see fit.

The addition of a bathroom vanity with nice cabinet space will also reduce the need for additional storage units, which is a key factor in making the space as wide open as possible. Hopefully now you can see if you had opted for the pedestal sink or very narrow vanity, you would be adding other units, which quickly eat up the ever so precious open space of your small master bathroom.

One more tip on making your small master bathroom seem a little bit larger is to add a frameless bathroom vanity mirror versus a framed one. The lack of frame will allow the mirror to reflect mass amounts of light and will make it less heavy feeling on the wall.
